Consignments--How to Fill Out Form
Your consignment form must be complete and a volunteer or staff person must
look over your form when you bring in your form.

At a minimum you must have your name, phone, account number, description of
item, and selling price listed.

Please, only 5 like items and 5 items of clothing per day.

You can
download a form on our Website or fill out a form at the thrift shop when
you come in.

You should always check your
list for items we cannot accept. This list is online
and staff at the thrift shop will look over your list when you come in.

If we cannot accept an item you can take it home with you or donate it to the
thrift shop.

How to fill out the Fort Myer Thrift Shop Form

1. Form must include your name, a phone number where we can reach you, the date you brought this
form in to consign with us and your account number

2. Type of item. We have a number of general categories we use. If this is a boutique item indicate in this
column with a 'B.' If you are unsure, leave this column blank and a staff person will fill it in.

3. If applicable, include the size of the item example: a clothing size M for medium, or include the shoe size
if you are consigning shoes.

4. Be specific with item descriptions to assist us in identifying your item. An accurately described item can
also help your item sell.

5. You must include a selling price for each item or we cannot sell it. Put some thought into a price.
Remember, if you price too high an item may not sell. If you price too low you may not get a lot of money
for it. You get 75 percent of the final item price if the item sells. You may withdraw your items, but before
the date the item becomes thrift shop property. The cost is .25 to .50 cents depending on the original
price of the item. Also, you may mark your item down once before, it becomes thrift shop property, with no
penalty.
